Giving Back for Health and Wellness
Health — ours, our children’s, our planet’s — has always been Earthbound Farm’s focus. We grow organic food because we believe it’s the healthiest food there is. And we have special relationships with organizations that promote healthy lifestyles. Below are just some of the organizations we support through sponsorships and/or charitable donations.
- Healthy Child Healthy World
Our cofounder Myra Goodman serves on the advisory board of this national nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the health and wellbeing of children and families through cleaner, greener, and safer lifestyles.
- Cooking for Solutions
This unique and entertaining gourmet event series, presented by the Monterey Bay Aquarium and their Seafood Watch program, focuses on great sustainable cuisine that protects the health of the oceans and the land. The 2008 series will be hosted by TV chef and food personality Alton Brown.
- Freedom Fields USA
This is a cause close to our hearts, because they give a remarkable gift of hope to farming families thousands of miles away. Buy a beautiful sterling silver Freedom Fields necklace, and the money you spend clears a land mine from farmland in Cambodia.
- Relay for Life, American Cancer Society
At San Benito County’s 2007 event, Earthbound Farm employees and their families raised money through a combination of company sponsorships, group events, and individual fundraising. Our contribution will support research on colon cancer, the second most common form of cancer in the US.
