When Earthbound Farm began, the choice to farm organically was a personal one. Our founders just didn’t want to put synthetic chemicals on the food they were growing literally in their backyard.

Since then, the environmental challenges facing the world have continued to multiply with increasing severity and unavoidable effects. Has the scale of environmental degradation become too big for an individual to do anything about?

No.

There’s much that needs to be done on many levels to address global warming, pollution, and the myriad environmental concerns that face us. But there’s no silver bullet, no single solution that “someone else” has responsibility for. Even as individuals, we can all make a difference every day, one choice at a time.

One of Earthbound Farm’s values is to be socially and environmentally responsible — as a group of caring and committed individuals, we’re working together to make a difference on a larger scale.
