Let's Take a Step Together
We know that you care about the food you provide for your family. So do we; that’s why we’re organic.
Every positive step any of us takes toward making our food healthier — choosing organic when we can, knowing what’s in our food, voting with our wallets — is progress. With care and patience (as Mark Bittman recently wrote so powerfully), together we'll create some changes that make a difference for all of us.
Here’s another way you can make a difference: join the MLK Day of Service.
- Every year, Americans across the country celebrate the life and contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by coming together on the King holiday to serve their neighbors and communities.
- The Day of Service website can help you find projects in your area just by entering your zip code. (When we did that here at Earthbound, we found quite a few local projects with food-related organizations.)
Take Today’s Step by visiting the Day of Service website — use their search engine to learn about organizations you can get involved with wherever you are. Don’t worry if you’ve already got plans or if you’re working today; while many organizations are doing something special for MLK Day of Service, they’re all working hard year-round. So don’t hesitate — every positive step makes a difference for all of us.
