Nutritional Benefits:

Delicious antioxidants

Earthbound Farm Organic Kiwifruit are an excellent source of vitamins C and K, and a good source of fiber, potassium, vitamin E and copper.

Don’t be fooled by this fruit’s diminutive size; the kiwi is an antioxidant powerhouse and considered one of the most nutrient-dense of all major fruits! In fact, kiwis have been shown to be one of the most effective fruits to increase antioxidant levels in the blood. As part of a healthy diet, the antioxidants found in kiwis may play a role in reducing the risk of certain chronic diseases.

To better absorb some of the nutrients found in kiwifruit — namely vitamins K and E — enjoy kiwis with foods that contain good mono- and polyunsaturated fats, such as nuts and salad dressings. Kiwi’s vitamin C content can also help you absorb plant-based iron; just add kiwifruit to a spinach salad, or eat it with other produce that contains iron to maximize absorption.

Why choose organic kiwifruit?

Choose organic whenever you can to help keep the residues of conventional agricultural pesticides and fertilizers out of your food. Organic produce is grown without toxic synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, using sustainable farming methods that protect the environment and help keep pesticides out of our soil, air, water and food supply. Organic food is the healthiest choice for people and the planet — and we think it tastes better, too!
